Welsh Water have announced a hosepipe ban for parts of southern Wales that is expected to last "weeks".
The ban will cover most of Pembrokeshire and a small part of Carmarthenshire, beginning on August 19. Welsh Water said it is under mounting pressure to maintain supplies after low rainfall during the driest year since 1976.
Welsh Water are the third water company in Britain to announce a hosepipe ban this summer, following Southern Water and South East Water.
Residents will be prevented from watering their plants, washing their cars and cleaning their windows using a hose. Residents can apply to the water company for an exemption during a consultation period between August 10 and 17.
